The Last American Guido is an independent feature film Written and Directed by Vito LaBruno (SECOND & BRUNSWICK PRODUCTIONS)
Vito LaBruno, currently a Jersey City Police Officer, joined with Ron Elliot (Director of Photography/Producer, The Little Feet Productions), Andrew LaBruno, David Henehan (Executive Producers) and Ty Risby (Producer), in an effort to produce this highly entertaining “fish out of water” romantic comedy.
The film was shot in the fall of 2012 in several different New Jersey cities including Hoboken, Jersey City, Bayonne, Nutley and Maywood, using a RED EPIC HD camera. With almost 75% of the film complete, Hurricane Sandy hit the State of New Jersey. Production was immediately shut down and several locations were lost. Many of the cast and crew were directly affected by this tragic disaster. However, after a week of hiatus the cast and crew rallied together to complete the film.
Casting Agent Winsome Sinclair assisted the production in the assembling a terrific cast that includes Mike DiGiacinto, Chris Tardio, Kim Director, Robert Costanzo and Al Sapienza (House of Cards, Person of Interest).
Post Production for The Last American Guido is in good hands with Editor David Leonard (City Island, Goodfellas) cutting the film, Grammy Award nominated Music Supervisor Dondi Bastone (The Descendants, Sideways) and Composer Stephen Cullo (Belly) supplying the music, and TECHNICOLOR providing post services.
The Last American Guido is in the final phases of post-production and is set to be available for release this summer.
